Interesting results for last week’s Twitter survey! Although last week’s sample is not huge (looks like some of you weren’t back from the beach yet), we were very excited to discover the top answer.

Turns out 57% of respondents use Swagger / RAML to generate documentation. Using them as a design tool comes in 2nd place and 3rd place goes to generating code.

At Restlet we have some interesting developments in the works related to documentation generation, and this poll comforts us that we are focusing on the right priorities for developers. Stay tuned for more on this topic!

    That’s pretty shocking as a result…I’m really surprised that more people aren’t using it for design. It would be interesting to see how that result varies between RAML and SWAGGER.

  • I think Swagger is basically designed from the reference to taking schema of request and response both, and its a good tool for understanding between frontend and backend developer.
